Check out our admissions events calendar. “What do I need to know about my shadow visit at JCHS?" - Student visits take place Tuesday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
- Parents are recommended to set up a 30-minute meeting with the director of admissions on the same day.
- Please sign up for a date at least one week in advance.
During the shadow visit, you will have the chance to: - Visit two to three academic classes
- Spend time with a host student who will remain with you throughout the visit
- Complete a writing sample and interview in the admissions office
- Have lunch with us! (compliments of JCHS)
When contacting us to set up a visit, please provide the following information to help us create the best possible experience for you: - Preferred visit date (and a backup date)
- Student host preference (optional, up to two names)
- Class subject preference (optional, up to two subjects)
- Student interests and hobbies - this is helpful to find a good match for a host
