Dear Prospective JCHS Students and Families,

Thank you for your interest in JCHS, the Jewish Community High School! We have enjoyed getting to know many eighth graders through the admissions process.

We know that choosing a high school can be one of the most exciting and challenging decisions you make, and we are here to answer any questions throughout your journey.  We invite parents of 6th and 7th grade families to join our free workshop, High School: The Next Journey , and to learn more about navigating the admissions process.

The JCHS website is a great tool for you to learn more about our community. Take some time to review our admissions calendar, learn more about a specific academic department, read our online newsletter, and meet our faculty. JCHS seeks to enroll students with demonstrated academic excellence, strong character and a sense for caring for others. Successful JCHS students are inquisitive, creative and motivated to challenge themselves, and to explore their own path towards becoming an engaged and literate adult within the Jewish community and beyond.

JCHS students identify as Jews in many different ways. We are a pluralistic community, welcoming students with a variety of Jewish backgrounds, Jewish religious observances and practices. JCHS students come from all over the Bay Area, a variety of public and private schools, and a diversity of family configurations.
