JCHS Organic Kosher Lunch

Lunch Program

JCHS provides gourmet, organic, kosher, vegetarian meals to our students. Each day features a full organic salad bar with assorted fruits/desserts and rotating cuisines including sushi, soup and sandwich, burrito/nachos, pasta, Asian-style vegetables and tofu, brunch, vegetable curries, and falafel. 

Our "green" award-winning lunch program buys locally grown organic produce, composting all waste and using biodegradable utensils. All of our food is prepared in-house, including soups and salad dressings. JCHS Director of Food Services Stu Jacobs gets positive reviews daily including praise over brunch and the popular burrito/nacho day. 

JCHS is most proud of how the lunch program impacts the school. It allows students to eat healthy food every day, helping them focus and excel in class. It also brings together the entire school community including students, faculty, and staff to connect during mealtime.

JCHS wins national award for our innovative and healthy food program!
 
The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM), a national nonprofit organization that promotes healthy diets, has named JCHS the grand prize winner in the 2009 Golden Carrot Awards. Congratulations to Director of Food Services Stu Jacobs for his exceptional work providing healthy, vegetarian lunches to JCHS students!
