Reflecting upon values. Experiencing our traditions. Engaging with the world. Taken together, these principles are the foundation by which we guide our students through their school experience and into adulthood, helping them to develop their own unique gifts along the way.
JCHS classes are small enough so everyone can be heard, but large enough so a diversity of opinion is possible. Our distinctive graduation requirements braid together humanities, arts, Jewish studies, Hebrew, math, and science through a rich curriculum that empowers students to integrate wisdom drawn from these disciplines. Our students develop skills in textual reading and contextual understanding, writing and public speaking, logic and creative expression, experiential learning and critical thinking - all of which will inform their moral, intellectual, and academic development.
To enrich and enhance their academic experience, JCHS offers competitive interscholastic athletic programs for all abilities as a way to build discipline and sportsmanship. Performances in drama and music and expression through the fine arts nurture and refine our students' creative talents.
