Large Green Vase with Mixed Flowers, 1910-12
Pastel on Paper

Recreation by Abby Schottenstein
"This drawing spoke to me because I loved the simplicity of it. I think the colors really go well together and the drawing is very cohesive. I think it's very calming to look at and it grabbed my attention right away. The leaves in the flowers tie back in with the color of the vase. It was challenging recreating the work but what was meaningful in the process was getting flowers from my backyard and trying as best as I could to match the ones in the drawing. I wanted to add the digital background because I was trying to make them look good side by side one another."
