The term Mizrahi refers to Jews from the Middle East and North Africa. All year we seek to deliberately incorporate the religious customs, Jewish scholarship, and cultures of Mizrahi Jews into our Jewish Studies curricula and holiday celebrations. This week, we are shining a light on Mizrahi heritage in a variety of ways this week, including:

  • Special treats like sachlav and malawah at lunch
  • Henna art
  • Music and an interactive map
  • Personal shares from Mizrahi faculty
  • Lunch & Learn on the history of Israel’s Black Panthers
  • Special Mizrahi Heritage Tefillah
