Drag Make-up and Performance

Put your King face on and find your drag personality. This workshop will offer a step by step drag king make-up tutorial, and a lesson in performative masculinity.

Workshop 1

Make-up tutorial: We will cover Drag makeup from the basics, base, contouring and highlighting, to advanced techniques of masculinization of facial features and several types of facial hair application.
Workshop 2 
10/14 4:30 - 5:30pm
Discovering masculinity: We will discuss masculine identifiers and stereotypes and how to use them effectively in performance.

Leigh Crow is a gender bending cabaret singer who gained notoriety as Elvis Herselvis the world's foremost female Elvis impersonator. She toured the U.S. and Australia with a live band to great renown. In her over 30 years of performing she has been featured in stage plays, musicals, independent film, feature films, music videos, rock bands, drag shows, performance art and whatever else strikes her fancy.
