Throughout the school year, there are two coordinated events that are specifically designed for the purpose of grade bonding: class Journeys, and Spirit Week.
Spirit Week allows members of each grade to work together as part of a school wide competition to express class spirit. This year, Spirit Week has been redesigned to give students the best opportunity to show spirit. With a new scoring system, grades are awarded points each day based on how passionate they are. While this provides for some fun, friendly competition, the huge amount of time spent planning and coordinating also pays off in the long run; as a result, classes become much closer.
As Rosh for the Juniors, my favorite part about Spirit Week is interacting with my class. With school, it’s rare to spend time with my grade in an informal setting. Spirit Week is a great solution to this!
