Sophomore Journey: Peaceful and Exhilarating

Shalom!  After our late night hike, the 8 am wake up came all too soon, but after a few bites of breakfast we were charged up and ready for more adventure!

We started the morning with tefillah and were on the bus by 10 am headed for Zion National Park.  Natan led a round of singing the "Traveler's Prayer" as we gazed out the window soaking up the views. When we arrived the "fast" and "slow" groups broke out and began their separate hikes up the beautiful trails.  After our two-hour hikes the kids enjoyed their packed lunches with the most beautiful view of the valley below.  It was peaceful and exhilarating at the same time.

We trekked back down the mountain and relaxed for a few moments on the grass under a tree.

When we got back to camp, students enjoyed some free time activities like swimming, visiting the "cutest" ice cream shop in America (just ask Wolk), and sharing great conversations with friends.

We heard a Dvar Torah from Liora and Kayla before enjoying another delicious dinner prepared by Mr. Shapero.  We decompressed a bit and shared memories of our day in small tribe groups (7 students) before the evening program of games led by Moriah and Naomi.

We all headed to bed at 10 pm--exhausted, but eager for climbing or canyoneering tomorrow!
