Junior Journey: Greetings from Tel Aviv

Rabbi Dean Kertesz
Rabbi Kertesz sends a brief greeting from the Tel Aviv Airport.
Just a quick word tonight as we all try to get some sleep after a very long flight.
It was a pleasure seening you all last night as we bid farewell at SFO. Your kids were wonderful. They were well behaved throughout a pleasant but long 14 hour flight. Regardless, when we landed at Ben Gurion Airport everyone perked up and the excitement of the journey on which we are about to embark hit everyone.
Now we are at our hostel, The B'nei Dan in Tel Aviv. I hope they will get some sleep tonight. Tomorrow we have a busy day. We start in Tel Aviv with a visit to Independence Hall where Israel declared its existence on May 14, 1948 and Beit Bialik, the home of Hayim Nahman Bialik when he made aliyah in 1924. There we will learn about the revival of the Hebrew language and the creation of a thriving Hebrew language culture. Then its off to the north in the afternoon.
More tomorrow...
