Despite many first time jitters and fears of heights, we were able to use one another to persevere and to reach our goal!
On the third and fourth days of the physically challenging sophomore journey, we had the opportunity to test ourselves even further through rock climbing and repelling. We were split up by gender for these activities which bonded us together even more. We were each others support system, cheerleaders and competitors. Despite many first time jitters and fears of heights, we were able to use one another to persevere and to reach our goal!
On the final day of our journey, the now closely bonded tenth graders, were given time to reflect on the amazing journey. In silence, we listened to the flow of a river and the howl of the wind as we contemplated our experiences as a group and as individuals. This concluded the structural part of our journey. However, we still had the final traveling part ahead. It was only after six hours of buses, planes and waiting, did we finally make it home. What an amazing end to a truly incredible week!
