ARTstor Digital Library

EBSCO Religion and Philosophy Collection

Find 240 full-text journals on such topics as world religions, biblical studies, religious history, epistemology, political philosophy, philosophy of language, moral philosophy, and history of philosophy.

ProQuest

From business and political science to literature and psychology, this database provides access to a wide range of subjects, and includes more than 3,850 titles -- over 2,600 in full text -- from 1971 forward, featuring a mix of scholarly journals, trade publications, magazines, and newspapers.

QUESTIA School
Questia School provides premium online information that gives users access to more than 28,000 books from 300+ publishers and millions of articles from journals, magazines and newspapers.  Students should email Mrs. Gluck (rgluck@jchsofthebay.org) for a user name and password.

This extremely user-friendly database provides information on a wide variety of topics, people, places and events, and includes access to full-text magazines, academic journals, news articles, primary sources documents, images, videos, audio files, and links to selected websites.

San Francisco Public Library Databases

You will need your SFPL card to access SFPL’s enormous selection of databases. You can access a copy of the card application online but will then need to go into any SFPL branch with an ID showing that you live anywhere in California (a JCHS student ID or CA driver's license works).

Encyclopedia Britannica
Contains several Britannica encyclopedias including the entire Encyclopedia Britannica,Compton's, Britannica Elementary,and Britannica Concise.

Gale Virtual Reference Library
Database of encyclopedias and specialized reference sources for multidisciplinary research.

History Resource Center
U.S. and world history resources for undergraduate and high school research.

InfoTrac Full Text Newspapers
Full text articles from over 300 US and international newspapers.

JSTOR
Digital archive of over 1000 academic journals across the humanities, social sciences and sciences.

Literature Resource Center
Biographies, articles, criticism, overviews, glossary, and more on writers and literature.
