JCHS Middle School Workshops

Open to 6th, 7th and 8th Grade Students!

All student workshops are free of charge, but please register ahead of time as space is limited!


Work out your improv muscles while adding new skills to your acting toolkit. JCHS Drama Director Dylan Russell takes you through improv exercises and offers tips on how to audition without fear.


Exercise your imagination and hone creative writing skills using art, movies and music as inspiration. JCHS Humanities teacher Jonathan Ayres teaches some key techniques to inspire expressive and fresh writing.
 
Join JCHS Athletic Director Sean Moler and Basketball coach Aron Wolgel along with Wolves Varsity players to sharpen your basketball skills and practice fundamentals. Coaches will offer a variety of drills and competitions.
 
Design a simple web-based computer game with JCHS Robotics Team advisor John Hagen using MIT’s Scratch programming language. No experience needed, unlimited ideas encouraged. JCHS will provide laptops.
