The Legacy Society

Leave a Lasting Legacy

A planned gift to JCHS is an investment in future generations of students. By including JCHS in your estate plans, you help ensure that our mission, values, and community continue to thrive for years to come.

The JCHS Legacy Society honors the individuals and families whose generosity and vision are helping build the future of our school.

Join the Legacy Society

Our tradition teaches us that we add meaning to our lives by connecting to things beyond ourselves—to Jewish values, to our community, and to repairing the world. By including JCHS in your estate plans, you'll help strengthen the Jewish future while becoming part of the JCHS Legacy Society.

Planned Giving Opportunities

There are many ways to include JCHS in your long-term philanthropic plans. Below are several common options. Because every financial situation is unique, we encourage you to consult your legal or financial advisor when considering a planned gift.

Bequests

One of the simplest ways to support JCHS is through a gift in your will or living trust. A bequest may be a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your estate, particular assets, or the remainder of your estate after other distributions have been made.

Charitable Remainder Trust

A charitable remainder trust can provide income for you or your beneficiaries during your lifetime while also creating a future gift to JCHS. Depending on your circumstances, this option may also provide valuable tax benefits.

Charitable Lead Trust

A charitable lead trust allows JCHS to receive income from trust assets for a specified period while preserving the remaining assets for your heirs, often with significant estate and gift tax advantages.

Gifts of Life Insurance & Retirement Assets

JCHS may be named as the beneficiary of a life insurance policy or retirement account, including an IRA, Keogh plan, pension, profit-sharing plan, or tax-sheltered annuity. You may also choose to donate a life insurance policy that is no longer needed for its original purpose.
