Visual Arts

Create. Explore. Express.

The Visual Arts program at JCHS encourages students to explore their creativity while developing technical skills across a wide range of artistic disciplines. Through drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, ceramics, sculpture, and mixed media, students learn to communicate ideas, challenge perspectives, and express their unique artistic voices.

Art is woven throughout the JCHS experience. Students collaborate across disciplines, contribute to campus exhibitions and installations, and create work using professional studio spaces and equipment, including a darkroom, printing press, pottery wheel, and kiln. Each project encourages curiosity, experimentation, and creative growth.
