Liz Steinfield has been a Certified Nurse-Midwife and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner since 2001. She has a BA from Oberlin College and received her masters training at University of California, San Francisco, which brought her to the Bay Area from the east coast. She currently works at the Women’s Options Center at Zuckerberg San Francisco General while also volunteering with Hospice East Bay and the Living Water Children's Centre in Tanzania. A fellow of the California Healthcare Leadership Fellowship, Liz has devoted much of her career to continual quality improvement, managing through systems change, and creating new services lines rooted in team based care. She lives in Berkeley with her wife, Janell Fischer, and their son, Soli (class of 2028).
