Rabbi Baruch Rock joins the JCHS faculty as a Jewish Studies teacher specializing in Talmud, as well as a key team member shaping Jewish Life on campus. With over two decades of experience in Jewish education, Rabbi Rock is dedicated to progressive, experiential learning that empowers students to discover their own voices, build critical thinking skills, and form a personal connection with classical Jewish texts.

Outside of the Beit Midrash, Rabbi Rock brings his love for learning into the natural world. A certified Wilderness First Responder and Permaculturalist, he is an avid backpacker, whitewater river enthusiast, and amateur astronomer. Whether guiding students through the nuances of a Talmudic debate or stargazing under the night sky, Rabbi Rock is passionate about helping students connect deeply with sacred time, community, and the world around them.
