Rabbinic Ordination - Hebrew College
B.S. - University of Oregon

Rabbi Sarah Rovin was ordained from Hebrew College, a pluralistic rabbinical school in May of 2026. She earned a degree in environmental studies and psychology from the University of Oregon (go ducks!). While in college, she discovered a love of farming and environmental activism. After college, she participated in the Avodah Jewish Service Corps in Chicago where she spent the year doing social justice learning and direct service work. She then participated in the JOFEE Fellowship (Jewish Outdoor Food Farming and Environmental Education) and worked as a JOFEE educator at Pearlstone (a Jewish retreat center outside of Baltimore) where she developed both as a Jewish learner and educator, bringing people of all ages outside to experience Torah in the body as well as the mind. She also has professional experience as a case manager, community educator, and has been involved in community organizing around climate justice. In her free time Sarah enjoys singing in community with her friends, rock climbing, knitting, cycling, scribing Ketubot for her friends and making sourdough.
