Coach Sean Moler brings an extensive background in athletic administration to his role, highlighted by sixteen years of service as an Athletic Director in the Bay Area Conference. Before joining JCHS, he managed corporate sponsorships with Learfield Sports at Stanford University and began his career in education as a history teacher and basketball coach within the San Francisco Unified School District.

A native of Santa Cruz County, Coach Moler graduated from Aptos High School before earning his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Colorado, Boulder. His educational credentials include a teaching credential from Cal Poly (2002), a Master of Arts in Sport Management from the University of San Francisco (2009), and an administrative credential from California State University, East Bay (2016). Professionally, he is a Certified Athletic Administrator (CAA) through the NIAAA and received the prestigious CSADA Norm MacKenzie Award in 2014 for distinguished leadership in athletic administration.

Having lived in the Bay Area for 25 years, Coach Moler splits his time between the East Bay and Santa Cruz. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, surfing, playing the guitar, swimming, and spending as much time in the outdoors as possible.
