The JCHS Student Life Team is thrilled to welcome all incoming ninth graders to orientation on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. Our Senior Buddies are busy preparing activities to help you feel comfortable and cared for! This is a time for you to get to know your classmates and Senior Buddies, learn about school culture, and prepare for a fantastic start to the school year!
As always, we are taking steps to ensure that we keep our community healthy and safe. Please read through the reminders below:
- The Welcome Orientation takes place on campus, Tuesday, August 23, 9:00am-5:00pm
- Please download the SchoolPass app and complete the short “wellness check” before entering the building. You’ll be doing this on regular school days as well, so this is good practice. Click here for instructions.
- Lunch and snacks will be provided!
- Please bring a water bottle, comfortable shoes, and a warm layer.
- If you’re a student athlete, you are excused from practice and coaches are aware.

- 9th Grade students arrive at JCHS
- Casual coffee and schmooze for parents and guardians
- 9:30 am – Welcome and Ice-Breaker Games
- 11:35 am- Lunch (provided)
- 12:15 – Exploring Jewish Identity at JCHS
- 1:30 pm – Games and Activities at Alamo Square Park
- 3:55 pm – Senior Panel + Closing Program
- 5:00 pm – End of Program
