Jackie Koenig teaches conceptual physics and AP physics at JCHS. She earned a degree in physics and mathematics at UC Santa Cruz (go banana slugs!). After she graduated, she joined the Peace Corps and spent two years battling the snowy winters in the mountain kingdom of Lesotho, where she taught high school mathematics. After completing her Peace Corps service, Ms. Koenig became a Jaffe Fellow at Columbia University and earned a degree in physics education. She taught physics at a high school in East Harlem and also taught in Japan before joining the JCHS community. In her free time, Ms. Koenig enjoys hiking, trivia, sailing, birdwatching, and looking at planets through her telescope.
