Senior Segue

Preparing for Life After JCHS

Senior Segue is a program designed to help our seniors transition confidently into the next phase of their lives—whether they’re heading to college, embarking on a gap year, or stepping into independence for the first time.

In the final weeks of school, seniors step beyond the classroom to explore real-world skills, reflect on their JCHS journey, and celebrate their accomplishments. The program balances practical life preparation with meaningful moments of closure and connection.

Senior Segue offers engaging workshops that build life skills students will use right away. Workshops are led by JCHS professionals and outside presenters. Highlights include:

  • Financial Literacy & Personal Finance
  • Basic First Aid & Roadside Emergency Training
  • Self-Defense & Cooking for College Life
  • Resume Building
  • Conversations on Navigating Jewish Life and Campus Climate

Honoring the Journey

Senior Segue also creates space for seniors to reflect, celebrate, and say goodbye. Highlights include:

  • The senior Golden Gate Bridge walk and picnic
  • Time to connect informally with teachers and staff
  • Student-led planning for graduation traditions, including:
    • The Senior Speech
    • Senior Slideshow
    • Mesibat Siyyum
