Preparing for Life After JCHS
Senior Segue is a program designed to help our seniors transition confidently into the next phase of their lives—whether they’re heading to college, embarking on a gap year, or stepping into independence for the first time.
In the final weeks of school, seniors step beyond the classroom to explore real-world skills, reflect on their JCHS journey, and celebrate their accomplishments. The program balances practical life preparation with meaningful moments of closure and connection.
Real-World Readiness
Senior Segue offers engaging workshops that build life skills students will use right away. Workshops are led by JCHS professionals and outside presenters. Highlights include:
- Financial Literacy & Personal Finance
- Basic First Aid & Roadside Emergency Training
- Self-Defense & Cooking for College Life
- Resume Building
- Conversations on Navigating Jewish Life and Campus Climate
Honoring the Journey
Senior Segue also creates space for seniors to reflect, celebrate, and say goodbye. Highlights include:
- The senior Golden Gate Bridge walk and picnic
- Time to connect informally with teachers and staff
- Student-led planning for graduation traditions, including:

- Senior Slideshow
- Mesibat Siyyum
