JCHS Notebook: A Showcase of Student Work
We believe that one of the best ways to understand the breadth and quality of what we do at JCHS is through the lens of the work students do here. We are pleased to present the JCHS Notebook, a showcase of student work from across departments and disciplines.
In the Summer issue:
- JCHS Drama creates a remarkable new play about women in science
- Sabrina Katz ’19 explores Zentangles
- The AP Environmental Science class tackles issues of sustainability
- Sophie Katz reflects on her growth as a person in an essay for Mishnah & Gemara
- Seniors Jake Libenson, Yonim Schweig, and Ma’ayan Epstein discuss what is the real core of humanity in George Orwell’s “1984”
- Students in Studio Art and in the Creative Tefillah investigate Surrealist art techniques
- The Girls Basketball team plays at halftime at a Golden State Warriors game
- The Class of 2017 reminisces and offers a heartfelt farewell to JCHS
