JCHS will get a private performance of “Freedom Song”, a play that interweaves a Passover Seder with personal stories of addiction.
The cast of “Freedom Song” are people in recovery from addiction, who were previously part of Beit T’Shuvah, a residential addiction treatment center in Southern California. Using song and dance, Freedom Song will open your eyes to the real-life struggle against the “bondage of self” that we all fight every day. The cast will stay for lunch so that students can continue the conversation. Our counselor, Julie Beck, offers this list of resources on Drug & Alcohol Addiction.
