Shabbaton is a time to celebrate and experience Shabbat together in nature and as a community.
The entire school will share a meaningful community-building experience over Shabbat! The All-School Shabbaton will take place Friday, September 26 through Sunday, September 28, 2025.
What is the All-School Shabbaton and who will be there?
It’s our full weekend retreat filled with celebration, activities, bonding, reflection, spirituality, and fun. As one of the most important events of the communal calendar, every student is invited . . . but more importantly, every student is needed to make this a powerful community experience.

The Shabbaton is one of JCHS’ most meaningful events outside the classroom. This all-school retreat includes two days of celebration, activities, bonding, reflection, spirituality, and fun. Every student’s participation is needed to make this a powerful community experience. You will receive more information on the Shabbaton program and itinerary in the upcoming week.
The Shabbaton fee for this year is $550 per student including meals and transportation to/from Camp Newman. As this is a required all-school trip, financial assistance is available. please reach out to the Business Office by September 5 if you need assistance.
You will be billed for Shabbaton on September 10 and payment will be processed through FACTS on September 24.
