To mark and celebrate Sukkot this year, a holiday where we focus on shelter and radical hospitality, JCHS is providing students with various opportunities to think critically about housing justice in the Bay Area. One of these opportunities is the Winterfaith Shelter Walk – a walkathon that the San Francisco Interfaith Council puts on to support their winter homeless shelter. Many local faith based schools are participating and sponsoring the event, and JCHS is one of them!
