Joshua Feltman has educated music students in the Bay Area, in New York City, and abroad. He specializes in incorporating creative pursuits such as digital music and composition into a more traditional instrumental and vocal program. In New York, he served on the faculty of Brooklyn College and Brooklyn Conservatory. Previously, he served as music director at TASIS (Lugano, Switzerland) and Hyde (Woodstock, Connecticut). In both cases, he led the construction of and oversaw a comprehensive program including several ensembles, concert trips, musical theater productions and general music classes.

Joshua Feltman’s other musical activities are numerous and varied. He is a published composer with a PhD in composition and a long list of performed works. His music for orchestra has been performed at the Tanglewood and Aspen music festivals, and he regularly arranges for groups, large and small in both pedagogical and professional contexts. He is an experienced conductor specializing in world premieres and contemporary music. He has also served as music director at four churches and is an accomplished collaborative pianist and vocal coach with over sixty musical theater productions to his credit.
